Great little spot! I visited this place on a Wednesday night for their jazz session and it was great. The atmosphere was vibrant and perfectly complemented the live jazz music. It's rare to find such a gem that combines excellent music with a warm, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing evening filled with great tunes!
This was a random experience and perhaps the best one I've had yet. They had an event called SONDELA that my friend in Kenya suggested I go to on his behalf. I wasn't sure it was going to be my vibe, but instead, I ended up finding a new hobby. The venue was a vibe. The manager and the employees were wonderful people. I genuinely can't wait for the next time.
Trying way too hard to be hipster. Typical expensive prices in East London. Bags searched on the way in for a casual mid week drink. The jazz band was excellent but we were sat in a cornered off seat section facing the stage and everyone else was either facing away or standing up so it was a strange mix of an intimate gig vs lots of people chatting to each other. It didn't work for us in the seats, the people stood up or the band. Food ordering was a little chaotic. You had to wait for your order without any ticketing or name-taking. Also queues to the bar were quite long. Mixed-bathroom toilet door had no lock on it.
Overall worth a visit but wouldn't make it a regular thing.

Nice venue with great food, there for a friend’s birthday and had a good time! Music was not my vibe but enjoyable. My only issue was the “outside” area we were based in allowed smoking, but it was effectively a closed room, so came home smelling like smoke and not great for my asthma!
Went to my pals birthday here and was sold a rooftop terrace bar, which I suppose it technically is. We rocked up at 5 and they'd already shut their kitchen despite knowing they had bookings. You can essentially smoke inside the way they've done their smoking area which is good for some folks. But yes, a bit underwhelming tbh, but I think I may have had loftier ambitions than reality would allow. The final nail was the night was supposed to be a soul and disco night and it was just like 5 lads huddled behind the desk just playing house music, which was disappointing too. The staff are lovely mind, cannot fault them. Feel like it could actually be a decent spot if it was just tightened up like.
How can you handle customers this way. After paying the entrance half our group got rejected for no apparent reason. The bouncer clearly have a superiority complex and is trying to get more attention than he deserves. We had a good night, he made it horrible. Avoid at all cost.
